What we are and what we're not
Wichita Foundation Experts is an independent referral and lead service. We are not a contractor. We don't inspect homes, give repair estimates, or do any foundation repair work ourselves. We have no crews, trucks or storefront, and we don't claim any licenses.
What we do is simple. When a homeowner in Wichita or a nearby city calls or fills out our form, we pass the request to an independent, locally operating foundation repair professional who serves that area. That professional contacts you, inspects the home, and gives you their own written estimate. If you hire them, your agreement is with them, not with us.
How it works
- You tell us what you're seeing. Call (316) 243-0206 or use the short form on any page. Include cracks, sticking doors, sloping floors, water in the basement, or whatever prompted you to look.
- We pass your request to one local pro. We share your request with one independent foundation repair provider serving your area, not a long list of companies.
- The pro contacts you directly. They schedule the inspection, explain what they find, and give you a written estimate. You decide whether to hire them. There's no obligation.
What it costs you
Nothing. Using this site and requesting an inspection is free for homeowners. You never pay us anything. Any price for repair work comes from the contractor's written estimate, and the decision is yours.
How we're paid
We may be compensated by the foundation repair professionals we refer requests to, for example through a referral fee or an arrangement to receive requests from this site. That's how the site pays for itself. We tell you because it's a real business relationship, and you should know about it when you weigh any recommendation.
Why you should still check out any contractor yourself
A referral from us is not a guarantee of work quality, price or outcome, and it doesn't replace your own checks. Before you hire anyone, including a pro you reached through us:
- Confirm they're licensed where your house is. In Wichita and unincorporated Sedgwick County that's MABCD. Some nearby cities also license contractors. See our Wichita-area permit guide.
- Ask for proof of liability insurance.
- Get the scope, price, warranty and permit responsibility in writing.
- Consider an independent structural engineer's opinion for major or expensive repairs.
- Get more than one estimate if you'd like. You're never obligated to hire anyone.
About our guides
Our homeowner guides are written by the Wichita Foundation Experts editorial team. We aren't engineers or contractors. We research public sources, such as the Kansas Geological Survey, USDA NRCS soil data, K-State Research and Extension, the Kansas Insurance Department and official city permit pages, and we link to them so you can check our work. We don't present AI-generated illustrations as photos of real homes or jobs; they're labeled on every page. If you spot an error, call the number on this page and we'll review it.
Start with Wichita clay soil and your foundation, does insurance cover foundation repair? or our permit guide.
